Sharp’s Response to COVID-19

With the fast spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, we realize that many of our customers are living in a new work reality. We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has created uncertainty in all our businesses. Sharp also knows that many at the front lines in healthcare, our first responders, and our teachers are learning new ways to instruct our children by leveraging technology. We want to do all we can to help ensure they are successful while ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, partners and their families.

Here are some actions that Sharp has taken to minimize the impact to our operations and yours amid this health crisis.

Employee Health and Safety

Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees as well as the many people we interact with and support. To that end, we have instituted travel restrictions, opened broad work-from-home policies wherever possible and are adhering to social-distancing best practices. Additionally, we are enforcing a strict return-to-work policy that requires employees exhibiting any symptoms to stay at home for a set amount of time.

Customer Health and Safety

We have also taken measures to ensure our client’s safety by mandating that our sales and service experts disinfect serviced equipment upon entry and exit and wear disposable gloves. Our IT services experts are already functioning on a remote basis to help you solve your computing, data protection, and security needs. We are already talking to customers about improving remote network, application and digital document access, printing needs and laptop computer upgrades.

Supply Chain

Sharp leadership is meeting daily to ensure the safety of our people, the continuity of our business, our ability to provide, service and supply any equipment needed by our customers in a safe and efficient way. We are managing our supply chain closely, and we have experienced no major impacts at this time.
