Handling Toner and Toner Cartridge, and in Case of Emergency

Handling

Do not throw toner or toner cartridge into a fire. Toner may splatter and cause burns. Further, do not forcibly open a toner cartridge. Toner dusts may leak. In this case, avoid dust inhilation or skin contact.

Storage

Store toner or toner cartridge in a cool and dark place that is not sealed or containing flame. Store toner or toner cartridge out of reach of small children. Store a new toner cartridge box horizontally, not setting upvertically, being careful not to invertreverse the top and bottom. If a box is stored vertically, the toner flowability reduces even if you shake the toner cartridge well before using it, and toner may remain in a cartridge without getting into the machine.

In case or emergency

If you inhale the dusts:
Move to a location with clean air, and gargle with a large amount of water. If you have symptoms such as a cough, consult a doctor.
If toner adheres to the skin:
Clean skin with a soap, and rinse away toner with water.
If toner enters the eyes:
Immediately rinse away toner with flowing water. If you have a pain, consult a doctor.
If toner is swollowed:
Rinse out your mouth, and drink one or two glasses of water. If necessary, consult a doctor.
Caution:
  • Do not store a toner cartridge in a place in which the temperature is 40 degrees Celsius or more.
If it is stored in a high-temperature place, toner in a cartridge may be hardened.
  • Store toner cartridges or toner collection container out of reach of small children.
