REPLACING THE TONER COLLECTION CONTAINER

Overview

The toner collection container collects excess toner that is produced during printing. When the toner collection container becomes full, "Replace used toner container." will appear.
  • Do not throw the toner collection container into a fire. Toner may fly and cause burns.
  • Store the toner collection container out of the reach of small children.

Operation

Open the front cover.

Release the used toner collection container.
Press the toner collection container release button.
The toner collection container will fall forward as shown below. Wait until the container comes to a stop.
Keep the replacement cleaner that has not been used.
Store it at the left of the new toner collection container.




Remove the toner collection container.
Hold the toner collection container by both hands and lift it up slowly.

Place the toner collection container on a flat surface.
Place a sheet of paper such as newspaper on the surface before placing the toner collection container.

Do not point the holes down as used toner will spill out.
Remove the seals around the holes.
Grasp the edge of each seal and pull it out toward you.


There are 4 seals. Remove all of the seals.
Plug the holes.
Grasp the edge of each black seal and insert it into a hole in the container to plug the hole.




  • There are 4 seals. Plug all of the holes.
  • Keep toner collection containeres you have removed in a plastic bag (do not discard them). Your service technician will collect them.
Install a new toner collection container.
Insert the container from above at a slant. (In the direction opposite to the direction you removed it in.)

Push the toner collection container into the machine.
Push the container in until it clicks into place.

Close the front cover.
