BEFORE USING THE NETWORK SCANNER
Overview
To use the machine as a network scanner, you must store sender information, configure server settings, store destinations in the address book, and perform other required operations.
Making sure the main power switch is in the "
" position
When the main power indicator is lit up, the main power switch is in the "
" position. If the main power indicator is not lit up, turn the main power switch to the "
" position and press the [POWER] button on the operation panel.

Checking the date and time
Verify that the correct date and time are set in the machine.

To set the date and time of the machine:
In "Setting mode", select [System Settings] → [Default Settings] → [Clock Adjust].If [Disabling of Clock Adjustment] has been enabled, the date and time cannot be modified. In this case, select [System Settings] in "Setting mode (administrator)" and select [Operation Settings] to disable the [Disabling of Clock Adjustment] setting.
Before using Scan to E-mail
Store a default sender name in "Sender Name" and a reply e-mail address in "Reply E-mail Address". These will be used in the case when a sender is not selected.![](../images/ic_System.png)
To store the sender's name and source address:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [System Settings] → [Image Send Settings] → [Scan Settings] → [Scan Settings] → [Default Sender Set].Configuring settings required in the setting mode
Configure server settings and default settings for the network scanner.

To configure server settings:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [Network Settings] → [Services Settings]. -
To configure basic settings for the network scanner:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [Application Settings] → [Network Scanner Settings].
Storing destination addresses for each scan mode in the address book
It is convenient to store addresses in the address book before using Image Send mode.
