AQUOS BOARD PN-L2B Series: Homescreen & Launcher
David Suaviso, Jr. (Sr. Regional Sales Manager, NJ-NY):
Hi everybody, Dave Suaviso here. I'm standing in front of the PN-L2B series AQUOS BOARD and we're going to talk about the home screen and the launcher.
When you first launch the AQUOS BOARD, you come up with this home screen - this is your launcher. If you don't have the remote anymore, it's OK because you can access the menus, the inputs and all your apps right with the touch of your finger or with a touch pen. So as you see here is our launcher. It has the time, the date. Easy access to all the inputs, HDMI, VGA. If this lit up and connected to a PC, HDMI 1, 2 or 3 would be on.
Right here also you have easy access to the operation manual, common settings, administrator settings. If you didn't have that piece of paper, you can access this right here without even being connected online.
Under “Settings,” Suaviso taps “Operation Manual.”
Also being able to look at the common settings for audio settings, video settings, picture adjusting, positioning, as well as the contrast, brightness and all of that.
Under “Settings,” Suaviso taps “Common Settings.”
You also have access to administrator settings. For security reasons, you have to enter a password to get into that.
On the left side of the screen, we have access to all the apps. Obviously anything loaded into the SOC. You'd see that all here. Access to the whiteboard, being able to wirelessly cast to the board if you weren't connected via HDMI or VGA. A nice little web browser
and file explorer.
So if you were to save some files here, you'd be able to find that right through your file system right at the board.
Under “Apps,” Suaviso taps “File Explorer.”
What's also nice is you have access to all the menus with a quick swipe. So at the bottom here, we have the ability to quickly go home. Backstage, is if you click on this, if you had other open screens here from earlier, which I don't have anything open at this time, you'd be able to see that there. Swipe this up. Easy access to all your inputs again, HDMI, VGA.
Suaviso swipes up from the bottom of the board to reveal a menu.
Now if you wanted to easily annotate over something, let's say if we brought up that operation manual and just wanted to highlight something. You can bring up the the annotation feature here. Be able to mark up this document very easily, Change colors, and easily mark it up that way.
Suaviso opens the operation manual again, swipes up for the bottom menu again, taps “Mark,” and draws over the operation manual.
Now, easily accessed by telewireless casting, you can also click on cast. And this allows you to bring your device wirelessly right to
the Sharp AQUOS BOARD using Bytello Share.
Suaviso taps “Cast” in the bottom menu.
And the nice little feature is the freeze button. So by clicking freeze, it allows you to freeze a screen at this moment in time and perhaps if you're an educator or working on something that you did not want people in the class to see, you can freeze the board, work off to the side and then unfreeze and go back to whatever is live on your current screen.
Suaviso taps “Freeze” in the bottom menu.
This menu here is at the bottom and I wanted to show it so you can see the labels but you can also access it on either side of the AQUOS BOARD.
Suaviso swipes from the bottom to reveal the menu again and repeats this on the right side of the board to reveal the same menu on that side too.
