Sharp MFPs and Blackboard: Printing and Submitting Assignments

MODERATOR: Sharp is partnering with Blackboard to improve new and traditional workflows and education environments. Helping educators and students to optimize their experience with sharp MFPs. AIP Core is an expandable Sharp OSA application that interacts with multiple external document management systems, including Blackboard Learn.

Let's jump into a demonstration of the Blackboard Learn workflow. Select AIP Core Web. Log in using your valid username or student ID and password. Select Login. From the main menu, users can select either scan to or print from the Blackboard Learn connector. For example, to print an assignment from Blackboard Learn, select print. Select the Blackboard connector.

Once you are logged in to Blackboard Learn, the MFP panel will display the student's current courses. Select a course to view the assignments uploaded by the course instructor. Select an assignment then select Print. From there, the print job setting screen is displayed with default settings. Please note, the print settings may vary depending on the configured capabilities of the Sharp MFP. Select Print to start the print job.

The job status is displayed as the print job is processed. When the print job is complete, the MFP panel returns to the main home screen. Now let's take a look at how to submit a completed assignment for credit in a course. Load the assignment into the scanner on the MFP, then select the scan option from the main home screen.

The default scan settings are displayed. Please note the scan settings may vary depending on the configured capabilities of the Sharp MFP. Select scan to start the scan job. The job status is displayed as a scan job is processed. When the scan job is complete, the MFP panel displays the Blackboard Learn connector Selection screen. Select the appropriate course for the assignment and select Submit.

When the scan job is complete, the file will appear in the selected course folder for the professor to view. Select the Home icon to return to the main home screen or select Exit to close the session. This streamlined process is designed to help increase the timeliness and flexibility of student assignment submissions.
