BASIC TRANSMISSION METHODS
FAX TRANSMISSION METHODS
You can select the method to send a fax depending on the type of original such as a sheet of paper or a book.
ORIGINAL PLACEMENT ORIENTATION
When an original is placed in vertical orientation, the image is automatically rotated 90 degrees and transmitted in horizontal orientation.
AUTOMATIC REDUCTION OF THE TRANSMITTED IMAGE
The transmitted image is automatically reduced to meet the fax size a receiving machine can receive.
TRANSMITTABLE ORIGINAL SIZES
THE SIZE OF THE PLACED ORIGINAL
This section explains the automatic detection of original sizes.

This setting saves received faxes in memory without printing them, and requests a password from a user to allow printing.
PRINTING RECEIVED DATA AT A SPECIFIED TIME
For stress-free printing, you should avoid printing at peak times when you have large numbers of pages to print or when you do not urgently need to print.

F-CODE COMMUNICATION
The following sections explain the method to operate the F-code communication function allowing your machine to communicate with other machines that also support F-code.
F-CODE COMMUNICATION
This section explains the mechanism of the F-code communication function.
CREATING MEMORY BOXES IN THE MACHINE FOR F-CODE COMMUNICATION
Before the F-code communication function can be used, special memory boxes must be created.
F-CODE DIALING
F-code stored in the memory box in the other machine must be checked prior to an F-code transmission.
F-CODE CONFIDENTIAL TRANSMISSION
This is convenient for sending sensitive documents that you do not wish people other than the recipient to see, or when the receiving machine is shared by multiple departments.
RELAY BROADCAST TRANSMISSION USING F-CODES
When your machine receives an F-code relay request transmission, the fax is received in an F-code relay broadcast memory box in your machine, and relayed to multiple destination machines.
CONNECTING AND USING AN EXISTING TELEPHONE
MAKING AND RECEIVING TELEPHONE CALLS
You can make and receive calls like normal on your extension telephone. A telephone call can also be made by dialing on the machine.
