In-Room PC Security

The In-Room PC Security setting within the Synappx Go Windows application - Settings helps secure and control the meeting in-room PC by providing access to Windows security settings.

To enable In-Room PC Security, from the Synappx Go Windows application - Settings – Options, select Fullscreen Mode  and then restart the in-room PC.

Note:The in-room PC must be restarted for the settings to take effect. .

Available Windows Security Settings


Category Setting Description
Applications Install new applications Allow execution of msi files.
Uninstall applications Allow execution of msi files.
Access Windows AutoRun Allow AutoRun.
Access Task Manager Allow task manager to start.
Desktop Access Task Bar Search function of Windows when taskbar is available.
Windows Search Search function of Windows when taskbar is available.
Action Center When taskbar is available, users can use the Action Center function of Windows.
Show Desktop Icons When taskbar is available allow users to click the right edge of the taskbar to show desktop.
Windows Security PC shutdown Allow users to shutdown this PC.
PC sleep Allow users to sleep this PC.
PC hibernation Allow users to hibernate this PC.
Switch Windows user Allow users to switch the windows user account.
Lock Allow users to lock this PC.
Sign out Allow users to sign out this PC.
Restart Allow users to restart this PC.
Windows Settings Access Windows Settings Allow users to change Windows settings using Settings app and Control Panel.
Change registry Allow the Registry Editor to start.
Change Password Allow Windows account password changes.

Require Admin Login to Change Settings

IT administrators can restrict access to the Synappx Go Windows application settings by selecting the Require admin login to change settings toggle.
