Configuration Steps
Configure your Microsoft 365 Exchange calendar settings to enable users to start their meeting by tapping the calendar shown on the in-Room PC.
Note: To turn this configuration on, the admin must be a Synappx Administrator and have a Microsoft 365 Exchange Administrator or Global Administrator role in MS365.
- Open Settings on Synappx Go Application on one of the in-room PCs.
- Select the Options tab [View Image] . To enable the Tap to Start feature, click Enable. To disable the Tap to Start feature, click Disable.
- A dialog to explain the admin requirements will appear then click OK to proceed.
- A dialog to sign in appears. Enter the email address and password of Microsoft 365 account that has Exchange Administrator or Global Administrator. Once the authentication is completed, the Tap to Start configuration is done.
- Open Settings on the Synappx Go Application on one of the in-room PCs.
- Click How to enable Tap to Start in the Options section of the settings.
- An explanation of the configuration and a link to the download page on the Admin Portal appear.
- From the downloads page in the Admin Portal, download the "Outlook Configuration for Tap to Start" file.
- Execute the RunToEnable.bat in the extracted folder by double-clicking or by using the command prompt.
- The script file will be executed in the Administrator PowerShell window. Here you will enter the email address of the MS365 account that has Exchange Administrator or Global Administrator permissions.
- Once the authentication is completed, enter the resource account email address of the workspace account where the Tap to Start features will be used.
- The script will update the parameter on the specified resource account to enable Tap to Start.
- If there are multiple workspaces to enable Tap to Start, repeat steps 5-8 for all workspaces.
