Tap to Start from Display (Beta)

Configure your Microsoft 365 Exchange calendar settings to enable users to start their meeting by double-tapping their meeting on the display.

Note: To turn this configuration on, the admin must be a Synappx Administrator and have a Microsoft 365 Exchange Administrator or Global Administrator role in MS365.
  1. Open Settings on the Synappx Go Application on one of the in-room PCs.
  2. Click How to enable Tap to Start in the Options section of the settings.
  3. An explanation of the configuration and a link to the download page on the Admin Portal appear.
  4. From the downloads page in the Admin Portal, download the "Outlook Configuration for Tap to Start" file.
  5. Execute the RunToEnable.bat in the extracted folder by double-clicking or by using the command prompt.
  6. The script file will be executed in the Administrator PowerShell window. Here you will enter the email address of the MS365 account that has Exchange Administrator or Global Administrator permissions.
  7. Once the authentication is completed, enter the resource account email address of the workspace account where the Tap to Start features will be used.
  8. The script will update the parameter on the specified resource account to enable Tap to Start.
  9. If there are multiple workspaces to enable Tap to Start, repeat steps 5-8 for all workspaces.

This Change avoids adding the meeting organizer to the subject of the meeting in the meeting room (resource account) schedule. (No extra information is added to the meeting title.).
DeleteComments True False True: Delete the description of the meeting.
False: Do not delete.
This change keeps any text in the message body of incoming meeting requests for Synappx Go to obtain the meeting URL to join.
DeleteSubject True False True: Delete the meeting subject.
False: Do not delete.
This change keeps the meeting title in the meeting room (resource account) schedule.
AutomateProcessing AutoUpdate AutoAccept AutoUpdate: The meeting requests to the meeting room (resource account) are tentative in the calendar until they are approved by a human delegate.
AutoAccept: The meeting room (resource account) schedule is booked automatically by the meeting requests sent.
This change enables booking the meeting to the meeting (resource account) without human intervention (If free, accept. If busy, decline.).
DeleteAttachments True False True: Delete the attached files.
False: Do not delete.
This change keeps the attachments in the meeting room (resource account) calendar.
ProcessExternalMeetingMessages False True False: Do not book.
True: The meeting room (resource account) schedule is booked automatically by the scheduled meeting from a sender outside of the organization. This change enables the Synappx Go app to start the meeting from a sender outside of the organization.
